Cilka's journey is the 2nd book I have read by Heather Morris, she has a wonderful way of describing characters and their surroundings causing the reader to feel emotion.
I loved how we were taking through Cilka's life through a very major and traumatic time and that the story then followed on to how she survived through prison.
The author wrote the timeline of this book very well, it was extremely easy to follow and I found that it flowed well. Because of this, I was able to read it very quickly as I did not want to put it down, I wanted to always know what was happening next!
Cilka's character was very likable and I think relatable to many. I think people will be able to see how many their ancestors went through alot of struggles that for the reader, would be very hard to believe.
