What a gripping opener for a book! I was initially attracted to the story based on the cover alone, but was drawn in quickly by the first few pages. I especially enjoyed the train journey we read about as she departs Germany headed for the unknown. What the women had to suffer through on the journey is harrowing. I'm waiting with baited breath to read more and here Cilka's story unfold.
