To survive living in a concentration camp and have freedom at your fingertips and to have that snatched away would be devastating. To read that Cilka is imprisoned again and she finds joy is powerful. To have that frame of mind, Cilka is a very strong individual. It was the book’s cover that drew my attention. I thought it spoke of a mystery and it was subtle and soft.
