The format of the story really captured my attention. The way the narrative shifts from date to date is really cool. It's a book that is very fast-paced and definitely not for the faint of heart. I think it will prove to be a heartbreaking but powerful work beyond the first look. I thought the cover was simple and fitting for a narrative about a poor girl moving from concentration camp to concentration camp. I would like to read more to find out what happens to Cilka and if she ever really gets to escape imprisonment.
