I've been reading a lot of WWII fiction lately and I keep thinking, "Ok, you need to break away and read something else," and then I see a cover like Cilka's Journey and I'm sucked in again!
This cover jumped out at me, along with the title, because of the loneliness that it portrayed, and then once I realized what it was about, the stripes on the cover took on a more literal meaning as well.
I did read Tattoist and was intrigued by Cilka in that book and am so excited to see that this is her story. The First Look of this book transported me to her world and immediately had me wanting to follow her journey.
