This book reminds me so much of "The Baker's Daughter" by Sarah McCoy. Leaving in one of the most horrendous times of our world's history and doing what one has to do to survive! (Don't judge anyone unless you've walked a mile in another one's shoes.)
I read The Tattooist of Auschwitz- copy from my public library- and enjoyed it so much, I had to buy a copy for my own personal library. Looking forward to this book!
