I have always been drawn to historical fiction, but Cilka's Journey has grabbed ahold of my heart for sure. I found myself holding my breath reading these first few chapters. What a stunning beginning, telling the story of a young girl who is punished for attempting to survive during one of the most horrific times in our history. I truly can't wait to follow Cilka on this sad, but fascinating journey!
