I have to say I am a little apprehensive of reading this book. The cover highlights the isolation and a long lonely journey for the main character. The harsh truths of concentration camps are echoed in the pages of many books written in the twenty-first century. I think this book will evoke many emotions for the reader - I don't think I am ready for this emotional rollercoaster, but all the same, I think it is important to understand the experiences of fictional characters that are playing out real-life scenarios, from a moment in history that will never be forgotten.
