The cover was not too giving into the plot of the book but presented enough information to make me curious as to where the story would go. My first impression of the story itself is that it moves pretty quickly. It does catch your attention. I hope that once I get more in-depth into the book it will really grip me and hold my interested. Based on the preview I do feel like it will. It definitely peaks my curiosity enough to want to finish the book. I am very interested in the subject matter because the history books never seem to go into detail about what people experienced during and after release in World War II from the concentration. I love finding books that can give a first person perspective of it. It was a horrible thing to happen and I feel like it’s easy to dissociate ourselves from in because we didn’t personally experience it and that can be dangerous because it makes it easier for it to happen again. Reading from the perspective of those that lived it makes it feel more realistic and press more on our consciences.
