I have always enjoyed Lorna Landvik's books and this one was just as good as her others that I have read in the past. It's been a while since I have read one and glad I won this one from here. Her characters are witty and wise and the columns from Haze (she dropped the "l") from the newspaper mixed in with recipes and family life of the publisher and her husband and her sons break up the monotony of an ordinary book.

Susan's grandparents ran the newspaper before she did and there was quite a story to tell that Sam (their 14 year old son who worked there after school and in the Summer of his freshman year of high school) discovered in a locked wooden box on a shelf that even Susan didn't know of. I'm not going to spoil it but it surprised me.
