I think this book could have been written about any small town and small town newspaper. As the long time columnist for a local newspaper Haze documented the world as she saw it and at the same time expressed her opinions. World events, personal connections and the community were all fodder for her column. After suffering a stroke the newspaper ran some of her past columns. Even the local high school English class discusses some of the issue brought up by going through over 50 years of columns.
Haze's newspaper "family" and the entire community come together and celebrate her life.
Being a bit of a radical hag myself, I really enjoyed this book.
