I struggled a bit getting into this story. Then I started to fall for the characters. I loved the storyline of the young boy, Sam that is working with his mother at the newspaper. It is his job to read the old articles that Haze, aka The Radical Hag, wrote and select some to republish as she is in the hospital. It was wonderful how he learned from the old articles and found some sage advice from this mature woman columns. There were other wonderful characters that you can't help but want to know more about. Then there was a sprinkling of recipes that made me think about my grandmother. I really think most people would enjoy this story. There are some other storylines that will get you thinking more about the complexity of love during our lives. This would make a great movie!
