Definitely Radical

Chronicles of a Radical Hag (with Recipes) was not exactly what I expected, but it was an interesting read. It was very political, and I see conservative readers being turned off by this. It explored a lot of controversial topics, always taking the liberal stance. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing them evolve thanks to Haze's columns and influence (though Sam evolved a little too perfectly; he needed some flaws). I loved the format of story mixed in with columns and I appreciated all of the real world events sprinkled into the columns. The writing style was very nice - easy to read, funny at times, and deep and provocative at other times. Also, the cover is gorgeous. And the recipes were fun!
