Chronicles of a Radical Hag was a cute story that looks into the life of Haze, an 81 year old woman who recently suffered a stroke and fallen into a coma. Through the stories and little anecdotes of her peers, we get a glimpse into Haze’s past, which brings along its it a few surprises. I loved the way the story was laid out with little anecdotes along the way. It reminded me a bit of the style of epistolary novels that I generally enjoy so much. The characters kept me fairly well engaged though I have noticed some reviews that were disappointed in the character development. As someone who tends to prefer plot and a bit more of a fast pace over characters, I wasn’t sad to not have delved deeper into the lives of other characters any further. Overall, this was a cute story and made for an enjoyable me spring read for me!
