Curiously Intriguing

I don't usually go for heavily character-driven novels, and this books has the feel that it is mainly character-driven, spying in on the characters and all their thoughts and struggles as they go about their lives. That being said, I found myself fall right into the storyline. I think a lot of it was the mix in format - first an introduction (with a bit of wit that give me Norah Ephron vibes), followed by a newspaper column (this kept my attention - a quick change in format), and then followed by a bit of narration (which continued to give me Norah Ephron vibes but which also made me think of Bridget Jones's Diary). Is it a book that I'm craving to pick up as soon as it hits the shelves? I wouldn't go that far. But am I curious and do I feel compelled to keep reading? Yes.
