I really loved the idea of this book! I think it's interesting because most of the time the comedy romance books tend to fall into the same category. I'm not a huge fan of chess but I thought it was really cute how Ali Hazlewood used this as the hobby of the main character throughout the book. I always hear about how great of an author Ali Hazlewood is and now I know why. She really has her own unique style of writing and it makes it hard to stop reading the book. It's just one of those books that you pick up and never wanna put down. Also, can we please just take a moment to talk about how visually aesthetic and pleasing the cover is. I love the soft pastel colors used on it. I also loved how the main character was facing the love interest and they both had on colors that matched one another. This book is something that isn't only creative, and out of the ordinary, it's also creative and really carefully thought out.
