I have been a fan of Ali Hazelwood for several years. Her books have great plots and a fun romance. The preview for her new book, Checkmate seems to have the same formula and I am looking forward to reading the whole thing as soon as I am able to do so. I am not a huge fan of chess but I am still looking forward to the romance and the plot part of this book.
I do like the texting portion of the sample. Personally, I try to always text with the prior capitalization and spelling, etc but it is more real life the way it was written with one person not using punctuation and capitalization. I hope it doesn't bother me too much in the end as I read the full book but I am still going to read it.
