I've read a few of Hazelwood's work and enjoyed most of it. I'm really interested in seeing how her YA debut is. I don't know too much about chess, but it's making a big comeback and is quite popular. The part that really drew me in about this book is that Mallory (Our protagonist) used to love chess and now has sworn off of it. I want to know more about what happened four years ago! Hazelwood has had success with romance for adult readers, so I'm curious to see how she does with YA readers.
