I love a good rivalry. While I don't know a lot about chess, I can see the potential for a great rivals to friends, to love story. There has got to be more to Nolan Sawyer than it appears, and I have an idea what might be behind Mallory's reluctance to get back into playing chess. I know she's going to do it and find her love for it too hard to fight against. I can't wait to find out what will happen between Mal and Sawyer when they play against each other again. I could feel Sawyer's interest in Mallory already. The fact that he indeed didn't trash the chess board after losing is a sign.

I love that Ali Hazelwood is continuing her use of strong, intelligent female characters in a novel with younger leads. Her writing style always draws me right in with it's fun dialog and introspection. Lastly, a cute colorful cover is the icing on the book themed cake and this one is darling.
