Just goes to show you that you can't judge a book by its cover. I wasn't impressed with the cover, but the excerpt just grabbed me. I really enjoyed all the banter that occurred among the Greenleaf sisters as well as the snarky conversations between Easton and Mallory. And the chess match between Nolan and Mallory was something. The novel's excerpt reminded me of The Queen's Gambit. I would love to find out how everything from the tournaments to the love interest turns out.
