I am a fan of Ali Hazelwood's adult books, and I am very excited about her foray into YA romance. I enjoyed the short excerpt very much. I found Mallory's character very interesting. I look forward to learning her story and why she stopped playing chess. We only meet Nolan toward the end of the excerpt, and I am intrigued by his character already. I cannot wait to read the rest of the book.
