Honestly I’ve mildly enjoyed this authors works, they are those easy standalones you slip between some heavy fantasy to sorta break up the dense material.
Her YA novel seems it’ll be just the same but however I was MORE interested and enjoying this then her adult sided novels that had a bit more not that great chemistry from the characters.
Also with it being chess related it sorta gave into that super want I got from a show the queens gambit off Netflix, while they aren’t the same by a long shot, if you enjoy a good chess story this one would also be for you.
