50 pages and consider me hooked. I need to read the rest of this book. I was already an Ali Hazelwood fan (who doesn’t like romance about smart women in STEM?). I love the way that her storytelling includes the inner monologue of her female characters and the concept of chess in romance is actually very interesting. I can relate to the familial situation that Mal is in and am interested to see how this all “plays” out 🙂
