The cover of CHECK & MATE is adorable and eye-catching. Aside from the title being a giveaway about the premise, the chess pieces caught my attention and made me want to find out more about the book. I love that STEM is a huge part of Ali Hazelwood books and it starts here right from the beginning. I like the writing in the sample First Impression. I think this one will appeal to a pretty large audience. I can't wait to receive my copy and read the rest!
