I absolutely adored this book! From the writing, to the characters, to the plot, as always Cassandra Clare did it all perfectly. Cassie's writing has always pulled me in since book one, and as she grows the Shadowhunter world over the years, it always keeps me on my toes. Her characters are near impossible to not fall in love with. I loved the friendship between Matthew and James, and even more the friendship between Lucie and Cordelia. The huge love web (in lieu of triangle) created never ending drama and consistently kept surprising me.
The whole complexity of Clare's world will never cease to amaze me. There are details mentioned in her newest installments that were foreshadowed in her earliest books written over 10 years ago! Her entire world is so planned out and when things from her different series click together, it feels like magic. This along with her lovable characters and insane ability to pull you into her elaborate world, are reasons every single one of her books are guaranteed to have my money.
