So, I firmly believe that it is near impossible to hate a Cassandra Clare book, which is why it comes to no surprise that I adored this so much.

The Shadowhunter universe has me in a chokehold, I'm always drawn back to it even after having no interaction with it in a while. The characters and the storylines are just way too compelling.

In this new series of the Last Hours, we have a new cast of characters set in the Edwardian era, in the London Institute, taking us back to 1903. Here we meet Cordelia Carstairs, James Herondale, Matthew Fairchild, Lucie Herondale, Thomas Lightwood, and Anna Lightwood, the children of the ever-adored cast of The Infernal Devices.

I can't believe how Cassandra Clare manages to find so many different ways to keep our main characters apart from forming a relationship until the end of the series. The slowburn is so painful, but it makes the ending worth it.
