The first book in the new Shadowhunters trilogy was everything I hope it would be and then more.
The Infernal Devices is my favorite Shadowhunters serie and getting to see the characters again, all grown up and being adult was a special treasure for my heart. I loved all the new characters, the dynamic of their relationship, and the huge rapresentation featured in this book.
Without getting into spoilers I will say that plot wise this is not a very heavy book. It focuses more on the characters and their developing relationships in order to set the ground for more complex plot arch in the next books.
This however is by no means a negative things. I believe that the level of in depth knowledge that we get to experience with this characters, despite being so many of them, is what truly makes this book stands out among the other Shadowhunters novels.
