The prologue dragged me in when Lucie is a little girl and meets a mysterious stranger. I wanted to know who he would be later on in the book and how they would bump into each in their next encounter. Then I met all the other characters and was intrigued by them as well. It feels as if this will be a different type of shadowhunters in this book. I love the cover and the girls long fiery hair. I think it's cool with the leaves randomly lying in her hair. With her standing on the outside of a mansion's gate makes me think deeper into it. Why is she on the outside? Who's house is it? Hers, or the enemy's? And the sword in her hand makes her look fierce while her dress makes her look royal. Can hardly wait to get involved with all the characters lives and stories!
