First let me say, the cover art is stunning. I've never read any of Clare's Shadowhunters series before, so I was concerned I'd feel out of the loop reading this exerpt. However, the concepts are explained well enough within the first chapter to understand the world. This looks to be a fun fantasy series - it's not a top priority read for me, but I'm sure it'll be super popular like her other books.
