I really like what I see so far in this first impression. The first chapter has lovely writing, this author has shown tremendous growth since earlier books of hers that I'd read last year. The tone and atmosphere is like a fairy tale brimming with magic. The second chapter included here has a lot more action and seeks to introduce a wide variety of characters. It's not an overwhelming assortment and they are well clarified. Very excited to try this new entry in the Shadowhunters series in the near future- and the cover is sublime.
