I found the first look really captivating, and I look forward to delving into more of the magic that makes up the Shadow World. I have never read a Cassandra Clare book before, but I can see the hype even in these few first pages. The writing is well done, and the imagery is great. I think the cover is absolutely beautiful and I would like to read more to find out how all the angst and mystery will play out!
