My favorite thing about this excerpt is that it took characters that had previously been given brief stories in the other books and alluded to the fact that they would be more fleshed out in the rest of the story. I’m really excited to read more about the relationship between the four boys, as well as Lucie (who I relate a lot to) and Cordelia.
