Chain of Gold takes its title from a Charles Dickens quote. Cassandra Clare is back with another story of Shadowhunters and Downworlders. This one centers on Lucie and James Herondale, the children of Tessa and Will Herondale, and Cordelia Carstairs, Jem Carstairs' cousin, who is in love with Will (although he is in love with someone else). The opening lines immediately drew me back into the world of the Nephilim and parabatai and fighting demons. I am looking forward to another book set in this fascinating world.
