I’m not a big fan of Cassandra Clare. I’ve only read City of Bones. So I don’t know how this novel connects with all her other series in this realm. But I can tell from this excerpt that she’s an experienced writer. The writing was nice and had beautiful descriptions, and it has a nice balance between giving info and staying with the present characters and their thoughts/dialogue/storyline. the cover is very beautiful. I love the the hair with Thera we, and that she’s holding a sword.
