Wow! It's been some time since I read a Clare novel, but this sample just reminded me why I love her work! I was instantly pulled into the story with the first sentence. The further I read, the more captivated I became. I am intrigued to learn more about Lucie, her brother James, and the other amazing characters that Clare is sure to include with this one.
