I've been hearing nothing but good news from Chain of Gold, and as such I have been so unbelievably excited about it. So you can imagine my joy when I realized that I had the opportunity to read the first look for this beauty! Actually, I should confess something here. I stayed up late specifically so I could get my hands on this first look the moment it dropped. Worth it.
First things first: that cover is simply stunning. I love everything about it, from the aesthetics to the color palette. If this is any indication for what else will be in store for this new series, consider me in.
Second, I love the new series title. The Last Hours is evocative and has left me so curious to see more about it.
Now on to the first look. Oh my goodness. I am so sad that this first look had to end! I would have happily read the book right until the end in one sitting, if given half a chance. Clare's writing is everything I had hoped for, with Cordelia's story unfolding on the pages. I can't wait to see what happens next.
