Everything's mostly quiet in London for the Shadowhunter Army, but I have the sneaking suspicion that after the arrival of Cordelia and her older brother Alastair that things will ramp up for them and their friends. Clare dives right in, connecting you with the characters immediately but still providing a starting point for this series that doesn't make you feel you've been dropped smack in the middle of something abruptly.
