From the first impression, I really thought this book was going to be better than it was. And it's written by an author that I've liked before. But this book just didn't hit the spot. I didn't get far into it before I decided that I couldn't continue with it.

The beginning of the book went by so fast that I had no idea what was going on. It started with the MC getting a call that she got a vineyard and she had to come as soon as possible. Which would've been okay but she couldn't get there for a few days. So the author just decided to skip through all of that part. But not really because in one chapter, there were about 10 breaks and each break was the MC going somewhere new in town. For the first break, she got the call, second break she got her hair done, third break she went to the bank. And it was all on the same day, just broken up really weirdly. Honestly, that's what made me put the book down.

I felt like the beginning of the book before and during the call should've been a much more important part of the book than it was. It felt like the author just wanted to skip ahead to the romance and not write about any of the other stuff that goes on in a normal life.
