This debut novel made me feel as if I were traveling to and around Tuscany, experiencing the cuisine, wine, people, culture, and gorgeous landscapes for myself. The descriptive writing is full of sensory details and connected me to Erika. I now want to travel to Tuscany!

I enjoyed Erika's intelligence, business sense, and willingness to stand up for herself and maintain her self-confidence despite all the life-changing experiences tossed her way. I cheered Erika on as she stood up to Craig and faced a new life in a new country.

This novel is about family secrets, seeking the truth, and finding one's true calling in life. The romance is sweet and respectful and slow building.

The plot, with the exception of the final two chapters, was predictable and the pacing a bit slow at times. I also found the dialogue to be stilted and robotic, much of it unnecessary; mundane everyday small talk that didn't move the story forward. But despite these issues, I enjoyed my time in Tuscany and getting to know these close-knit characters and learning more about wine, grapes, and wine-making.
