This was a beautiful book. I was immediately drawn in by the gorgeous cover and my love of Italy. I love that the author used parts of her own life in Italy to write this story. The descriptive language really made me feel like I was in Tuscany. Owning a vineyard there would be a dream.
I really enjoyed Erika’s character and how she rediscovered herself while she was in Italy. At first I didn’t really like Erika, but as the story continued she grew on me. The story has a wonderful cast of characters. So many lovely people working at Casalvento.
I enjoyed the letters from Erika’s grandfather. I thought they were a nice addition to the story. The one real issue I had with the story was the abrupt plot twist in the last few pages. It was unnecessary and really took away from the ending for me.
Overall, I recommend this book to readers who enjoy Italy, wine, and clean hallmark movie romances.
