Any book about Italy and the wine country is a fun read. This book about an inheritance and then what impact it has on a relationship shows how complex life can be. The theme of the book is that a vineyard is left to a daughter who never knew her father. She then has the responsibility to learn about the business, the managing of the business and the people who are key to the operation. In the meantime, her relationship with people in her life starts to change and that means that some life decisions have to be made. The book does a great job of explaining the business and how it came about and how it technically runs. It tells the story of history in the area also and it would make any reader want to go to Italy to explore and experience the culture, the scenery and the drink some very fine wine with a fantastic meal. This is a fun read and a great summer book.
