Good book...not so good twist at the end....

I had really high hopes for this book, Casalvento. I occasionally love a great romance/love story, and a book set in Tuscany can usually never go wrong. I really loved the romance and the "will she/won't she" with the love triangle that our protagonist finds herself in. All of that relating to the story in the first three quarters is great, and just as I expected. Toward the end, I really found this story unbelievable and that the reactions of the characters were so outside the norm of what I would expect, it just ruined the book for me. I don't want to give away any major plot lines, but this book went from a 4 to a 2.5 (I rounded up to 3) just by the ending that I did not like.

I hate books that really let you down at the end. Some people may find that they are enjoying that kind of "surprise" ending, but I felt like the author just put it in there because she felt like the book needed a "twist" and that is what she came up with. Disappointing.
