I was greatly excited to read this book as soon as I discovered I had won a copy of “Casalvento: House of the wind” . It took some time before it arrived and I was eager to read it as soon as I had it in my hands. The story line and plot both were intriguing and I was slowly drawn into the personality of the characters page after page. While the character development was incredibly well done I felt there were some gaps that left me with unanswered questions. Despite my frustrations with that my interest was not suppressed in the beginning half of the novel. However, somewhere along the middle of the story things began to slow down and there were several needless insertions that only surged to confuse the reader. This is where it dragged and I found I had to push myself to keep going. It did all come together but the weak finish was definitely disappointing.
