Casalvento is a great book! I have always wanted to visit Italy. By reading this book, it felt like I was actually there because of all of the descriptive wording and imagery. I also love how at the end of the book there are a few pages of recipes for some pastas that you can make that sound absolutely delicious! The next time I go to the supermarket I am definitely getting all the ingredients to try out those delicious dishes. There are many authors who write books about a mysterious relative who passes away and suddenly out of nowhere the main character is somehow in their will and gets a huge mansion or a house, but this book is different; she gets a winery and a tiny village in Italy! She also learns about her family and who this mysterious family member was by going on a trip to Italy and looking for clues to who this person may have been and what they had done in their life to lead them to giving her these things.
