I love the cover of this book and was hoping for a story that would take me away. I was upset just a few pages into the excerpt when Erika, a strong self-made woman, allows her fiance to set a date for the wedding and then tells her she can work with his mom (who sounds domineering) to make all the arrangements...and she just goes along with it! This isn't the story for me.
