This book really hooked me in from the beginning and I couldn't put in down at all. The story follows Joey Green and his father Marshall Green When Joey comes to take care of his father who has dementia he starts to notice odd things. His fathers dementia ends up going away, but is replaced with him reliving his memories. However, some of these memories have secrets that changes many things for Joey. It especially gets interesting when Roy's brother is found dead and Joey's father is being pinned by the police due to not having a proper alibi. I haven't read any of Matt Goldman's work prior to reading Carolina Moonset, but I am definitely going to look into other writings of him. I really recommend this book to people you like thrillers and mysteries. As well as plots that have to do with old secrets resurfacing. This book has really kept me on the edge of my seat and asking for more.
