My dad had dementia. It's horrific to watch someone lose all sense of self, both the past and the present. In "Carolina Moonset," the main character's father has a type of dementia where he would remember the past- and with a riddled past, it's a good way to uncover a mystery. I think this will be an interesting one- but definitely sad.
