An emotionally charged mystery bridging past and present with the deteriorating human mind as a central figure. This generally isn’t a genre I pick up, but I absolutely loved Where the Crawdads Sing, and the setting and mystery steeped in history gave very similar vibes. Add in my nostalgia for one of my favorite states and my own family history with dementia this one hits close to home and I did not want to put this down.
