It's hard not to smile at the recollection of the main character's childhood and laugh at how it reached at the conclusion that you cannot trust family.
I like how subtle (and yet straightforward at the same time) the author introduced us to Mr. Green's dementia. The way the main character remembers his childhood, and how the son and daughters take turns taking care of the parents, shows how close this family is, even from the very first pages. And how well the author transmits the sadness of having a loves one with dementia, my eyes got watery. I really enjoyed reading this, I can tell it's a book that will get to one's heart, rip it open, get your tears...
