Reading this author's descriptions of people and places made them come alive in my mind! I could easily picture the Green family as mother and son come to terms with the father's memory loss. Joey's realization that his father's gun is missing adds another level of anxiety to the situation and makes me want to read the rest of the story to see what happens.
